We are building a sumo bot. The bot uses IR range sensors to detect objects. The sensors then send a signal to the chipKIT which is programmed to drive two motors. When the sensors "see" something, the motors both drive forward. When the sensors do not "see" anything, the motors turn in opposite directions to make the bot turn. We are in the process of installing and writing a program to include 4 light sensors on the bottom. These sensors will detect the edge of the ring so our bot does not drive off the edge on its own.
