email copy of postings and replies

I would like to get copies of my forum postings and the replies to them, but there isn't a setting for users to achieve this. Is this by chance something the admins could turn on their side? Thanks.

There are options when you are creating posts to "Notify me when a reply is posted" as well as subscribing to threads... are these not accomplishing what you want?

True of phpbb forums.

We'd like to SAVE the postings as email to ourselves.

I don't think there's a built in option - I'll be able to research a bit tonight, but if anybody already knows of an add-in for phpBB please send it along, I'll get it implemented!

Thanks KM6VV for explaining. The notifications of a new reply are useful too, but not the same as having an offline copy of the whole discussion (well from when I started to participate in it). Think mailing list. Sorry I can't help with phpbb.
