Cannot upload 1.6.12 Mac OS X uC32

Dear forum,

Can anybody help? trying to upload from Mac OS X 10. to uC32, Arduino 1.6.12, but get: No target found. An error occurred while uploading the sketch.

Software is not usable. One workaround is to reboot the machine every time, but this is not acceptable. Maybe I miss a module? What else do I need to install?

Have you installed the FTDI drivers?

Where are they? Just the chipkit plugins.

Furthermore, moved to windows 7, was working fine, uploading via COM5.

Suddenly COM2 and COM5 disappeared. How can I resurrect them? No target found... no upload possible

OK this solved the Windows 7 issue. Installed new FTDI drivers as advised.

YES! It works on both now! Many thanks for the advice. The FTDI installation solved both! Much obliged.
