Hi, all! I'm a newbee in this forum. My questions are: The Max32 and Uno32 Kits sold by Digilent come with the components soldered? And the software development tools (compiles, bootloaders etc) are bundled with the kit, or can be download from the Internet? Thanks for the help, and my apologies if this topic has been already posted in this forum.

The boards are a packaging marvel, imho -- they come in just a tiny box with a small foam pad -- assembled and ready to go -- just plug them in... All the software and documentation is on the Internet, linked to from the digilent site. In this day and age of "how do I ever get this thing opened without breaking it or me?" packaging, these are a breath of fresh air.
Here are some links to get you started:

Yeah, the good old art of folding, not even glue is needed. I love this too. These boxes should be all green with some "Building this box didn't hurt the environment" note on it. ;)

There are several "Chipkit unboxing" sort of reviews online. Here's one: http://blog.ljcv.net/2011/06/chipkit-pic32mx-based-boards-by.html
