Building MPIDE in Windows with Cygwin (32 or 64)?

So I got a new (Windows) computer and I need to setup the build environment for MPIDE. Rick Anderson help me set it up last time and my head was spinning a bit at the time trying to take it all in. At the time of set up Cygwin (32) was used to set up the build environment. I'm not sure if there was a specific reason for doing this (maybe cygwin 64 was not there or not stable, maybe some other reason). Anyway, I kind of want to use Cygwin 64 but didn't want to invest the time to find out that it will not work in the end.

Anyone know if Cygwin 64 will build MPIDE?
