Error on running IDE

Using Windows XP.

Just downloaded IDE mpide-0022-chipkit-win-20110530

and got this error when I tried to run it after extracting.

"An error occured while starting the application", "Launch4j"

Your help would be appreciated.

I don't know this error, but just wondering, do you have Java installed (java.com)?

Yes I have JAVA installed.

It's version 1.6.0_26 en

OK. I've been playing around with this and I found that the extracted folder actualy contains two versions of the programme structure, one inside the other.

One throws up the error and the other one (the embeded one) works.

So deleated one and now it works.

Yes thanks, I had seen that but I couldn't find the txt file the post was refering to.
