Temperature with chipKIT uC32, Basic I/O and Raspberry Pi

I have just written a tutorial that shows step by step how to connect chipKIT uC32 (it could be actually another microcontroller!) with Raspberry Pi. Communication is done by serial connection between uC32 and Raspberry Pi.

chipKIT uC32 is a purpose built powerful microcontroller board and Raspberry Pi is a small yet equally powerful micro-computer. Marrying both can make your electronic project quite interesting. Microchip has already chipKIT Pi (which is a chipKIT with headers to connect to Raspberry Pi). Farnell the promoter of chipKIT Pi has not made it very friendly to use it with Raspberry Pi. It is a hassle to install MPIDE in Raspberry Pi. But let us leave out this matter and concentrate on the tutorial I have published.
