Driver problem USB/Serial

I am trying to build one of these barebone http://chipkit.net/diy-chipkit-board/

But I can't get the driver for the USB/Serial installed properly.

I have used these :

But I keep getting error code(10) device won't start, when i look in the device manager.

I have tried both Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Any idea what could be wrong?

Is your usb pinout correct? What about unshielded usb wire lengths, too long and you will have trouble.

Try the stk500v2 in the "..mpide\drivers\chipKIT Drivers" folder. It works for me on the dp32 and my own barebone setup. http://chipkit.net/chipkit-bb32/
