Serial port offline

Hi

When I connect my chipkit Uno32 (USB) my laptop doesn't do the normal sound and the serial port is off, what can I do to fix it?

Do you have the FTDI driver installed?

I solve the problem with the next steps.

Right click on My Computer > Properties > Device Manager > Right click on FT232R > Properties of FT232R and Update Driver.

Soo the computer search the driver on the internet..
