Library support for Uno32 and uc32

I would like to purchase a chipkit board. Now deciding between Uno32 and uc32. An important factor is which board has the best library support.

Can I assume that whatever is tested on Uno also works for uc32? Are the 2 boards similar enough to make this assumption?

Yes, absolutely that is true. Those two boards are extremely similar, and as you say, any library that works on one will work on the other.
